Benefits of a Chemical Peel
A chemical peel from The Peel Connection is a light to medium depth blend of acids (ahas/bhas) that work to exfoliate the top layers of the skin revealing brighter, smoother and tighter skin. The peeling process can last anywhere from three to seven days after.
Benefits of receiving a chemical peel include:
Improves skin’s clarity, tone and texture
Stimulating new collagen and healthy new cells, resulting in a radiant, smoother complexion
Decreasing discoloration caused by sun damage
Clearing up acne break-outs and preventing new ones
Decreasing the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Confronting visible skin issues and superficial scars
Allowing skincare products used to be more efficacious by exfoliating the skin and removing the dead skin cell build up that is preventing those products from being absorbed.
The benefit of receiving a series of peels is to target the deeper layers of the epidermis. This type of deep exfoliation can stimulate cellular turnover, resulting in the production of healthy new cells.

TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peels penetrate more deeply and are effective for stubborn hyperpigmentation, melasma, and anti-aging. Jessner peels use a blend of salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol, offering a more controlled, gradual result suitable for sensitive skin and first-time peel clients. The Peel Connection often combines both in a layered protocol for enhanced results.

Initial brightening is visible within 5–7 days as the skin finishes peeling. Full results, including evenness and texture improvement, appear 2 to 4 weeks after the peel once new skin cells have fully regenerated.

Not always. Some peels cause noticeable shedding (sheets of skin lifting from day 3–7), while lighter peels produce subtle flaking or no visible peeling at all. Visible peeling does not determine peel effectiveness — even a non-visible peel triggers cell turnover.
